When I was a kid, Valentine’s Day was almost on the order of Christmas. Nothing could ever reach the excitement of Christmas, but Valentine’s Day came the closest for me. My favorite shape was (and still is) a heart, and here was a special day that celebrates love and hearts and pinks and loving others!
My mom liked to give me some small Valentine’s-themed gifts on Valentine’s Day morning, like heart-shaped earrings, heart-themed paper and pencils, etc. I’d love to keep this tradition going with my kids. So, I’m posting some fun ideas I found on Amazon that might help us with our kid (and adult) shopping.
The other thing I love about February and Valentine’s season is that the items for sale at Target or Walmart or Amazon are perfect for birthdays and other celebrations because they are full of happy, colorful hearts and other expressions of love.
So, after Valentine’s Day, I like to stock up on heart-themed paper and gift bags, since I can use those any time of the year. I’ve used Valentine’s Day gift bags for my husband on our anniversary, for example.
Now, on with the ideas for kids of all ages…

Dabbing Heart T-Shirt
I admit, it’s probably a little harder to find Valentine’s Day gifts for boys (or husbands) but my son would love this Dab shirt – what kiddo isn’t into the dab at the moment? And, this one can last past Valentine’s day because it has the cool-shades and cool-kicks factor 🙂
For girls, there is a pink version 🙂
LEGO Valentine’s Cupid Dog
Legos never disappoint. What a cute project to proudly display in their room!
Valentine’s Day Pencils
We can never have enough pencils especially cute heart-laden ones! 48 pencils ready for stocking up or gifting to friends
Heart Pajamas for the Winter, not just Valentine’s Day
My kids often have a pajama day at school, and this would be great for anytime during the winter, not just Valentine’s Day! (As you can tell, I love double-duty gifts for my kids)!
Anytime Heart Sweater
I like the neutral color so it can pair with several things, but there is a beautiful Valentine-red version as well.
I’m a sucker for heart shapes, and this shoe has them all over the sole!
Valentine’s Day Joke Book for Kids
They’ll be reading this all year long, not just on February 14th. Reading and laughing? Check and check!
Love for their Creative Heart!
I don’t know about you, but my kids cannot get enough sketch/drawing books and journals. This one takes the cake! And, if I don’t get this for Valentine’s this year, I might just get these for them on their birthdays.
HUGE Gift Basket with Candy and Gifts!
Ok, ok,if you just can’t resist candy and chocolate, here is a huge 30-piece gift basket ready-made from Amazon. So. Much. Stuff.
